Community Partnerships RC&D Council works to protect our Natural World through direct technical assistance to farmers; pollinator and natural resources education of the public (from school-age children to adults); and investment in grant-based projects that preserve air, water and land.
We work with a number of environmental project partners, including: local farmers, libraries and businesses; County Conservation Districts; United States Department of Agriculture; the Natural Resources Conservation Service; Xerces Society; PA Women in Agriculture; PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; National Fish and Wildlife Foundation; and many more.
Two of our more visible community projects on the environmental side of our programming have been the Community Cookshops and the Young Scientists Camp. Both of these successful programs will be back this summer thanks to numerous local and regional project sponsors.
Our Environmental staff is led by an Environmental Program Director and contains a Chesapeake Bay Engineer along with additional program staff.
We also conduct fee for service projects including Nutrient Management Planning. Please contact Environmental Program Director Lauren Barlow for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
